Developed from a traditional Italian card game, the object of the game is to 'Sweep the Lab!' 'Hut ' or 'School' (table of cards) for points, developing number bond skills along the way.

Earn a point by:

1. Sweeping the most cards,
2. By getting a clean sweep,
3. Sweeping significant cards earn a point each too.

PLAYING THE GAME:

• Shuffle and deal out four cards face up in centre of table.
• Deal each player 3 cards (2, 3 or 4 players works out fine).
• Player to dealer's left goes first. Look at cards on the table, do any combination of the cards on the table add up to the value of any single card in your hand. If yes 'Sweep ' those cards.
• Each player in turn must put down one single card from his/her hand. A card must leave your hand every time it is your turn. Only one.
• Pick up (sweep!) card/cards from the table equal to values on a card from your hand (e.g. If you are holding a 6 you can sweep up a 6, a 5 and a 1, or a 4 and a 2, or two 3s).
• Set your cards (sweepings) you have taken from the table face down in front of you.
• When all three dealt original cards are gone from all players' hands, dealer deals three more cards a piece. This goes on until there are no cards in anyone's hands.
• During Play — Sweep the lab!/hut/School- you are always trying to "sweep" the entire table clean. If you do, that is a "Clean sweep of the hut/lab /school" an extra point and you take those cards and put it in line with your others, but face UP, to remind you to count it later.
• The next player then to play has no chance of making a point that hand. Keep going with three cards dealt each round until the end of the pack. add up scores at the end.
